Welcome to Inspire Raise (“Inspire Raise,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy serves to inform you about how we and our trusted partners collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you interact with our website, mobile application, and all related services (collectively referred to as the “Service”). It also outlines your choices regarding the collection and usage of your information.

When you use our Service, you agree to our platform's collaborative nature, where you can share your creativity—such as photos, comments, and other materials (“User Content”). Keep in mind that any User Content you choose to make public can be viewed, searched, and shared by other users in line with this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use (available at inspireraise.com). This Privacy Policy applies to everyone who visits or uses our Service (“Users”).

At Inspire Raise, We respect privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our e-commerce crowdfunding platform.

Inspire Raise is operated by The Vision Centre LLC (“Inspire Raise,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you access or use:

  • The Inspire Raise website, including inspireraise.com;
  • The Inspire Raise mobile application;
  • Fundraiser pages and Inspire Shops;
  • Product ordering and checkout services;
  • Organizer, participant, supporter, and customer services; and
  • Other features, communications, and services that link to this Privacy Policy.

Together, these are referred to as the “Service.”

By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use Inspire Raise.

A. Account and Contact Information

When you create an account, organize or join a fundraiser, contact us, or otherwise use the Service, we may collect:

  • Your name;
  • Email address;
  • ;
  • Mailing or billing address;
  • Account credentials and authentication information;
  • Account role, such as organizer, participant, supporter, or customer;
  • Confirmation that the adult account holder is at least 18 years old;
  • Parent or legal guardian confirmation when an account is created or used on behalf of a minor;
  • A minor participant’s first name, approved display name, photograph, video, or fundraiser information when provided by an adult account holder; and
  • Communications you send to us.

Passwords are managed through our authentication provider and are not intended to be accessible to Inspire Raise in readable form.

B. Fundraiser and Inspire Shop Information

When you create, organize, or participate in a fundraiser, we may collect:

  • Organization, team, school, group, or beneficiary name;
  • Fundraiser name and purpose;
  • Fundraising story or description;
  • Fundraising and participant goals;
  • Start and end dates;
  • Event codes;
  • Participant information;
  • Organization or fundraiser location;
  • Photos, videos, logos, and other uploaded materials;
  • Inspire Shop information;
  • Sales and fundraising progress;
  • Supporter names and messages; and
  • Other content submitted in connection with a fundraiser.

Certain fundraiser and Inspire Shop information may be publicly visible. Please do not include sensitive personal information in public stories, photographs, videos, messages, or descriptions.

C. Purchase and Order Information

Purchases are currently completed through the Inspire Raise website, not as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store.

When someone purchases a product, makes an eligible contribution, or otherwise completes a website transaction, we may collect:

  • Customer name;
  • Email address;
  • Telephone number;
  • Billing and shipping address;
  • Products purchased;
  • Order value;
  • Donation or contribution amount;
  • Supported fundraiser or Inspire Shop;
  • Order and fulfillment status;
  • Delivery and tracking information;
  • Public anonymity preference;
  • Words of encouragement or other submitted messages; and
  • Transaction identifiers and payment status.

Payment-card information is processed by Square or another authorized payment processor. Inspire Raise does not intend to receive or store complete payment-card numbers.

A purchase made through a participant’s Inspire Shop may be credited to that participant and the associated fundraiser.

D. Organizer Payout Information

To issue fundraiser payouts, we may collect information from an authorized adult organizer, including:

  • Legal name;
  • Contact information;
  • Bank account and routing information;
  • Payout amount and status;
  • Organization or beneficiary information; and
  • Tax, identity, or verification information when required.

Bank account and routing information is encrypted and used only to facilitate the applicable payout, prevent fraud, resolve payout issues, and comply with legal obligations. Full bank account and routing information is intended to be deleted after the applicable payout process is completed, except where continued retention is required by law or necessary to resolve a transaction, dispute, security incident, or suspected fraud.

Only an adult who is authorized to act for the fundraiser, organization, or beneficiary may submit payout information.

E. Device and Technical Information

When you use the website or mobile application, we or our service providers may automatically receive limited technical information, including:

  • IP address;
  • Device type;
  • Operating system;
  • Browser type;
  • App version;
  • Date and time of access;
  • Pages or screens requested;
  • Login and authentication events;
  • Basic server logs;
  • Error information; and
  • Security-related activity.

We use this information to deliver the Service, maintain account sessions, diagnose problems, protect accounts, prevent fraud, and improve reliability.

Inspire Raise does not currently use third-party advertising networks or cross-app advertising trackers.

F. Mobile Device Permissions

Depending on the features you use, the mobile application may request permission to:

  • Access a photograph or video you select;

    We use these permissions only to provide the feature for which permission was requested. You can manage mobile permissions through your device settings.

    Selecting a photograph or video does not authorize Inspire Raise to access your entire photo library where the operating system provides a limited-selection option.

    G. Communications and Support

    When you communicate with us, we may collect:

    • Your contact information;
    • The content of your message;
    • Attachments you provide;
    • Information needed to investigate your request; and
    • Records of our response.

    2. How We Use Information

    We may use personal information to:

    • Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure accounts;
    • Allow users to create, organize, join, and manage fundraisers;
    • Create and display Inspire Shops;
    • Track fundraiser and participant performance;
    • Process website purchases and eligible contributions;
    • Attribute purchases to the appropriate fundraiser or participant;
    • Fulfill orders and provide shipment tracking;
    • Calculate fundraiser proceeds;
    • Verify organizers and process payouts;
    • Send receipts, order updates, fundraiser notices, security alerts, and other transactional communications;
    • Respond to customer-service requests;
    • Provide optional promotional communications where permitted;
    • Personalize the Service;
    • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, prohibited activity, and security incidents;
    • Verify the identity and authority of organizers;
    • Confirm the legitimacy of organizations, beneficiaries, and fundraisers;
    • Review suspicious fundraising, purchasing, or payout activity;
    • Process refunds, chargebacks, payment disputes, and related adjustments;
    • Request documentation when reasonably necessary to verify a fundraiser, prevent fraud, or protect users;
    • Prepare, maintain, or issue tax documents and reports when legally required;
    • Moderate user-submitted content;
    • Enforce our Terms and other policies;
    • Maintain business, transaction, tax, and accounting records;
    • Comply with legal obligations and lawful requests;
    • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
    • Improve the functionality, security, and reliability of Inspire Raise.

    We do not use personal information for cross-app tracking or third-party behavioral advertising.

    3. Public Fundraiser Content

    Fundraiser pages and Inspire Shops are designed to be shared with others. Information designated for public display may be viewed by anyone with access to the applicable page or link and may include:

    • Fundraiser or Inspire Shop name;
    • Organization or beneficiary information;
    • Fundraiser story;
    • Photos, videos, or logos;
    • Fundraising goals and progress;
    • Participant name or display name;
    • Supporter name;
    • Words of encouragement; and
    • Other content submitted for public display.

    Search engines or other websites may index or redistribute publicly available information. We cannot control information after another person independently copies or shares it.

    Supporters may be offered a public-anonymity option. When selected, the supporter’s name will not be displayed on the public supporter list. However, Inspire Raise and the applicable organizer or participant may still receive information reasonably necessary to verify the purchase, administer the fundraiser, provide customer service, prevent fraud, or send a thank-you message.

    4. How We Disclose Information

    We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

    We may disclose information in the following circumstances.

    A. Service Providers

    We use companies that process information on our behalf to operate Inspire Raise. These may include:

    • Supabase for authentication, database, and storage services;
    • Vercel for website and application hosting;
    • Square or another authorized payment provider for website payments and related transaction services;
    • Product suppliers, fulfillment providers, and shipping carriers;
    • Email and communication providers;
    • Security, fraud-prevention, accounting, legal, and professional-service providers; and
    • Other infrastructure providers necessary to operate the Service.

    These providers may access information only as needed to provide their services to us or as otherwise permitted by law. We require service providers to protect personal information appropriately.

    B. Organizers and Participants

    If you support a fundraiser or purchase through an Inspire Shop, we may provide the applicable organizer or participant with information such as:

    • Supporter or purchaser name;
    • Order amount;
    • Products purchased;
    • Words of encouragement;
    • Public anonymity status; and
    • Other information necessary to administer the fundraiser or thank supporters.

    We do not provide organizers or participants with complete payment-card or bank-account information.

    When a participant joins a fundraiser, we may provide the fundraiser organizer with limited information necessary to coordinate and administer the fundraiser, such as the participant’s name, approved display name, Inspire Shop status, fundraising progress, and account contact information where reasonably necessary for fundraiser-related communications.

    Organizers may use participant information only to administer and coordinate the applicable fundraiser. Organizers may not sell participant information, disclose it to unrelated third parties, or use it for unrelated advertising or marketing.

    C. Fulfillment and Shipping

    We may provide customer names, shipping addresses, contact information, order contents, and related information to product suppliers, fulfillment partners, and shipping carriers so they can prepare and deliver orders.

    We may disclose information when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to:

    • Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
    • Protect the rights, property, and safety of Inspire Raise, our users, or others;
    • Enforce our agreements and policies;
    • Detect, investigate, or prevent fraud or security incidents; or
    • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

    E. Business Transfers

    If The Vision Centre or Inspire Raise is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

    We may disclose information when you direct us to do so or provide your consent.

    5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

    The Inspire Raise website may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to:

    • Keep users signed in;
    • Maintain shopping-cart contents;
    • Remember preferences;
    • Protect accounts and prevent fraud;
    • Operate essential website functions; and
    • Understand basic website performance.

    We do not currently use cookies for third-party behavioral advertising.

    You may control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling necessary cookies or local storage may prevent parts of the Service from functioning correctly.

    The mobile application may use device storage or similar technology to maintain login sessions, remember preferences, and operate app features.

    6. Communications and Notifications

    We may send transactional communications concerning:

    • Account activity;
    • Authentication and security;
    • Fundraiser invitations;
    • Fundraiser progress;
    • Purchases and receipts;
    • Shipping and delivery;
    • Payouts;
    • Policy updates; and
    • Customer-service requests.

    If you opt in to promotional emails, you may unsubscribe using the link in the message. Unsubscribing from marketing communications will not prevent us from sending necessary transactional or account-related messages.

    7. Data Retention

    We retain personal information for only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to operate accounts, fulfill orders, process payouts, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and satisfy legal, tax, accounting, and reporting obligations.

    Retention periods vary depending on the type of information:

    • Account information may be retained while the account is active;
    • Fundraiser and Inspire Shop information may be retained while the fundraiser is active and afterward for transaction history, reporting, dispute resolution, and legal compliance;
    • Order and transaction records may be retained as required for tax, accounting, refund, chargeback, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes;
    • Full payout bank information is intended to be deleted after the applicable payout process is completed, subject to necessary legal, security, fraud, and dispute exceptions;
    • Public user content may be removed, deleted, or anonymized when an account is deleted, unless retention is required by law; and
    • Server and security logs may be retained for a limited period appropriate to operational and security needs.

    Deleting an account does not necessarily require us to delete information that we are legally required or permitted to retain. Where possible, retained information will be restricted to the purpose requiring its retention.

    8. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

    Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

    • Request access to personal information we maintain about you;
    • Request correction of inaccurate information;
    • Request deletion of personal information;
    • Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent;
    • Object to or request restriction of certain processing;
    • Request a portable copy of certain information; and
    • Appeal a decision concerning a privacy request where required by law.

    You may update certain account information through your account settings.

    To submit a privacy request, contact us at support@inspireraise.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization.

    We will not discriminate against a user for exercising an applicable privacy right.

    9. Account Deletion

    Users may initiate account deletion through the account or settings area of the Inspire Raise mobile application. Users may also request assistance by emailing support@inspireraise.com.

    Deleting an account may result in the deletion or anonymization of:

    • Account profile information;
    • Photos, videos, stories, and other user-generated content;
    • Participant profile information; and
    • Other personal information associated with the account.

    Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary to:

    • Complete pending orders or payouts;
    • Maintain transaction and fundraiser records;
    • Process refunds or chargebacks;
    • Prevent fraud or abuse;
    • Resolve disputes;
    • Enforce agreements; or
    • Comply with tax, accounting, legal, and regulatory obligations.

    We may require reasonable time to complete a deletion request. We will provide confirmation when the request has been completed.

    10. Children’s and Teenagers’ Privacy

    Inspire Raise accounts may be created and maintained only by individuals who are at least 18 years old.

    A minor may participate in a fundraiser only through an account created and maintained on the minor’s behalf by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years old. The parent or legal guardian is the account holder and is responsible for the minor’s access to and use of the Service.

    An adult account holder may create an Inspire Shop on behalf of a minor and may provide the minor’s first name, an approved display name, photograph, video, or other fundraiser information. The adult represents that they have the necessary authority and permissions to provide this information and make it publicly available through the fundraiser.

    Minors may not independently:

    • Create or maintain an Inspire Raise account;
    • Accept Inspire Raise’s Terms or enter into a fundraising agreement;
    • Organize a fundraiser;
    • Submit bank account, routing, tax, identity-verification, or payout information;
    • Receive a fundraiser payout; or
    • Represent that they are legally authorized to act for an organization or beneficiary.

    An authorized adult must act as the organizer and payout recipient for every fundraiser involving a minor.

    The Service is not intended to be used independently by children under 13. Children under 13 may not create accounts or directly submit personal information through the Service. A parent or legal guardian may provide limited information about a child under 13 when creating and managing an Inspire Shop on the child’s behalf.

    If you believe a child has submitted personal information without appropriate parental or guardian authorization, contact support@inspireraise.com. We will review the request and take reasonable steps to delete the information where required.

    A parent or legal guardian may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with a minor for whom they are responsible.

    11. User-Generated Content and Moderation

    Users may submit photographs, videos, logos, fundraiser descriptions, comments, messages, and other content.

    By submitting content, you represent that you own it or have the necessary rights and permissions to use and share it. You should not submit:

    • Content that violates another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights;
    • Sensitive personal information;
    • Harassing, hateful, threatening, exploitative, obscene, or unlawful content;
    • Misleading fundraising information; or
    • Photographs or videos of a minor without appropriate authorization.

    We may review, restrict, remove, or preserve content when reasonably necessary to enforce our policies, respond to reports, protect users, or comply with law.

    To report inappropriate, unauthorized, or unlawful content, contact support@inspireraise.com and identify the fundraiser, Inspire Shop, or content at issue.

    12. Data Security

    We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These measures may include:

    • Encryption in transit;
    • Encryption or protected storage for sensitive information;
    • Access restrictions;
    • Authentication controls;
    • Secure hosting infrastructure; and
    • Procedures for handling sensitive payout information.

    No system, transmission method, or storage technology is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration will never occur.

    You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for notifying us if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

    13. International Data Processing

    Inspire Raise is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

    Those locations may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws in your jurisdiction. Where required, we will use appropriate measures for international transfers.

    14. Third-Party Websites and Services

    The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services, including payment, shipping, social-media, or external sharing services.

    This Privacy Policy does not govern independent third parties. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information.

    15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Inspire Raise, our data practices, legal requirements, or operational needs.

    When we make changes, we will revise the “Last Updated” date. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the Service, by email, or through another appropriate method.

    Continued use of the Service after an updated policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
